Path to the Sanctuary
Is a land dedicated for more than a decade to nature, fire, and the deer. Located on a private property of approximately 3 hectares in the French countryside, it is our headquarters.
The name is a metaphor for our walk towards a sanctuary of health and nature, where dreams, humanism, and life converge. It is the ideal place for a community experience and a preferred space for families wishing to bring their loved ones closer to fire and deer.
This center also offers a communal kitchen, large camping spaces, dry toilets, a small river, and a natural pool fed by a spring, in addition to showers. There is no electricity, but water is available, filtered through a complex system that ensures its potability. Among its activities, three annual retreats stand out:
1. Spring: Encounter with the Earth.
This program generally lasts 2 nights, with fire ceremonies and temazcals over a weekend.
2. Summer: Nature Fest.
A 2-week program during which, in addition to several nights of fire, some workshops and community work are shared. Due to the season's weather and the vacation period, this is the preferred retreat for families and children.
3. Autumn: Return to the Roots.
The name is a metaphor for the return to our origins in many ways: nature, ancestors, health, etc. Here, we work with temazcals and deer (deertemazcal), alongside the planting of plants and trees. Additionally, the timing of this retreat coincides or is very close to the celebration of the Day of the Dead in Mexico, so we also celebrate this, further connecting with our origins. The chronology of this retreat has been as follows:
A) Earth
The first 5 years were dedicated to planting terrestrial species, shrubs, plants, and trees.
B) Water
Afterward, 5 years were dedicated to planting aquatic plants, during which we built a pond and later the natural pool.
C) Air
This year, we will begin the cycle of the air element, working with epiphytic plants that do not need soil or earth to survive, only a space high in the trees for their existence.
Each cycle has led us to discover and learn about the behavior of each species and its nature; plants have been tools to work on our inner selves, acting as mirrors that show us our strengths and fragility at the same time. Although not all participants have attended all retreats, their presence has left a wonderful part in the memory of the design of a natural mandala on this path to the sanctuary.
In addition to these three official events, other activities are held, such as corn and vegetable planting, spontaneous individual or family retreats, temazcals, and community work. In summer, some participants camp before or after the retreat.
Due to its communal family nature, admission is reserved only for acquaintances, their family members, and very close friends, as well as those recommended by someone we know.
